Channel cast iron gates are flow control devices primarily made of cast iron, widely used in water conservancy projects, municipal water supply and drainage, and industrial sectors. ‌
Structure and Material
The gate body is made of gray cast iron or ductile iron, offering high strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Key components include the frame, gate leaf, guide rails, sealing strips, and drive screw. Sealing surfaces are often lined with copper or rubber to ensure effective water retention. ‌
Function and Application
‌Flow Control‌: Adjusts water levels or diverts/combines flows by raising or lowering the gate leaf. ‌
Pressure Resistance‌: Capable of withstanding bidirectional water head pressure up to 10 meters, suitable for environments ranging from -20℃ to 120℃. ‌
Sealing Performance‌: Clearance ≤0.1 mm, leakage rate ≤0.7 L/m·min in the forward direction and ≤1.25 L/m·min in the reverse direction. ‌
